1.Mahsuri Mausoleum

Mahsuri, a prominent character in Langkawi, was a young woman who passed away about 1819. Despite being constructed in the 1950s, Mahsuri’s Tomb, also known as Kota Mahsuri, is among the island’s most significant tourist destinations. The most well-known local tale in Langkawi is that of Mahsuri, a stunningly beautiful woman who was condemned to death because other people were envious of her appearance.

The Mahsuri Museum has a comprehensive account of the legend that the island of Langkawi was cursed for seven generations.

You can explore several galleries as well as Mahsuri’s former residence and mausoleum, which are located in the middle of the compound.

In addition to the tomb, there’s a theater, a handicraft store, a museum, restaurants, a replica of a traditional home, and a miraculous well.
